A teenage boy named Jack steals Zedd, Richard and Kahlan's horses and sells them to Rimus, a magic peddler, in the village of Drendril. While tracking Jack in the village, Richard is aided by a bartender's magic potion that allows him to see Jack's precise location. Jack leads them to Rimus, who tells his associates to attack them. During the fight, Kahlan uses her Confessor power on Rimus and Zedd exposes himself as a wizard. They discover that Drendril is being corrupted by a wizard's magic potions. The wizard captures Zedd and is revealed to be Jeziah, a past student of Zedd. Richard uses more of the bartender's potion to find Zedd but is eventually forced to use his woods guide skills. After finding Zedd, Richard, Kahlan and Rimus engage Jeziah and the peddlers in a fight. While the peddlers are defeated and Jeziah captured, Rimus dies protecting Kahlan. Zedd reminds Kahlan of her secrets and warns her of the feelings that are developing between her and Richard.

A Massive Dynamic employee jumps out of a window when he believes he is being attacked by butterflies. Olivia's connection with John Scott leads her to breaks in the case, but she becomes fed up with his manifestations and decides to return to the sensory deprivation tank to rid herself of them. Meanwhile, Peter's past catches up with him when his enemies find out he's back in Boston.

The dark eclipse plays havoc with the heroes' powers. Arthur orders Elle and Sylar to bring in Claire. Hiro, Ando, and Matt follow Daphne to her hometown to learn what hold Arthur has on her, and Peter and Nathan travel to the Haitian's hometown to recruit him for the war with Pinehearst.

Sara takes a hostage in a bid to secure Scylla. Michael and Lincoln finally meet the General while one of their members switches allegiance.

The team has to work out a security problem at the Buy More.

Anna remembers her past and Sam and Dean finally understand why Castiel and Uriel want her dead. However, they disagree with the angels' orders and try to help Anna restore an important part of her past so she can be saved. Meanwhile, Alastair and his demons continue to close in on Anna and the brothers.

While Lois organizes Jimmy and Chloe's wedding, Oliver shows up on the Kent farm and informs Clark that Lex is still alive, but he needs Clark's help to find Lex's exact location. A security guard discovers Davis disposing of evidence, but before he can call the police, Davis morphs into the Kryptonian monster Doomsday and kills him. Doomsday arrives at the ceremony, where he critically injuries Jimmy and kidnaps Chloe; he then takes Chloe to the Fortress of Solitude.
