Legend of the Seeker

Hope has a warrior.

Based on Terry Goodkind's best-selling fantasy series, The Sword of Truth, this series follows woodsman Richard Cypher as he transforms from woods guide to magical leader, with a task to stop a vicious tyrant.

Legend of the Seeker is produced by ABC Studios for syndication. The series was formerly known as Wizard's First Rule.

Episode 1: Prophecy

After the murder of his father, and a chance encounter with a mysterious Confessor named Kahlan, Richard Cypher learns of an ancient prophecy that has named him the first true Seeker in over a millennium. Along with an old wizard named Zedd, Richard and Kahlan must stop the ruthless tyrant Darken Rahl from unleashing an ancient evil.

Darken Rahl, a tyrant who wants to expand his empire into the Midlands, sends soldiers to obtain the Book of Counted Shadows, which is in the possession of a Confessor named Kahlan Amnell. Kahlan crosses the magical boundary into Westland, a land of no magic, in search of a wizard. In Westland, Kahlan meets Richard Cypher, a woodsman who helps her escape the soldiers. Kahlan finds the wizard, Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, and insists that he take her to the Seeker. Richard, who was sent by his father to Zedd, meets them and discovers that he is the Seeker, the person prophesied to defeat Rahl. One of the soldiers, Fane, kills Richard's father and takes the Book of Counted Shadows from Richard.

Episode 2: Destiny

Aided by the wisdom of wizards, Richard pursues Fane in the hope of recovering the Book of Counted Shadows.

After accepting the role of the Seeker, Richard formulates a plan with Zedd, Kahlan and his friend Chase to find Fane. Darken Rahl attempts to bring the magical boundary that separates the Midlands and Westland down to allow Fane to return with the Book of Counted Shadows. Fane kidnaps Chase's daughter and forces a sorceress to give him the Night Stone to cross the boundary. Richard and Kahlan pursue Fane to the boundary, where Richard kills him and retrieves the Book. Meanwhile, Rahl's soldiers destroy the boundary. Richard throws the Book into a fire to stop the soldiers from taking it. Together with Kahlan, he defeats them. Having recovered from his injury, Zedd joins Richard and Kahlan as they set off into the Midlands.

Episode 3: Bounty

While Richard and Kahlan safeguard a village from dark magic, Zedd is captured by a depraved wizard.

Richard, Kahlan and Zedd are attacked by a band of mercenaries, one of whom, they find, was carrying a map that tracks Richard's location. Soon after they discover that Darken Rahl is offering a reward for capture of the Seeker, a woman named Lilly asks for their help to save her brother from the Shadrin, a mythical monster. When the group finds yet another map tracking Richard, Zedd sets off to find the mapmaker Sebastian. Richard and Kahlan follow Lilly to find her brother but it turns out to be a trap. Lilly wanted to exchange Richard for her brother, who is to be executed by the Rahl's soldiers. Meanwhile, Zedd warns the mapmaker not to make any more maps to track the Seeker. He returns in time to save Richard and Kahlan from capture. Richard helps Lilly's brother escape. In return, Lilly helps to spread word that the Seeker is here to help them.

Sheldon becomes distracted from playing Age of Conan by Penny who has accidentally attempted to use her car keys to open her apartment door. Sheldon learns that Penny is frustrated by her failures in life specifically her not getting into any of the parts in plays she's tried out for, not having sex for six months, not receiving a raise at work and on her way up the stairs she swallowed a fly. Sheldon invites her into his apartment to wait until the locksmith arrives to open her door. Penny becomes curious about the game Sheldon is playing and quickly becomes addicted. They quickly try to help her regain her regular life back as they try to set her up with an online dating service which failed miserably. After falling deep into her addiction she inadvertently accepts an online date consisting of questing and drinking ale at the local virtual tavern with Howard. She quickly realizes what she's done and promptly stops playing the game.

The Big Bang Theory Season 2 Episode 2

The Codpiece Topology

The guys return from a Renaissance Fair and see Penny with a new guy, Eric (Travis Schuldt), prompting a jealous Leonard to pursue a relationship with fellow physicist Leslie Winkle. All the guys as well as Leslie humiliate Leonard for his apparent failure to keep Penny.

Leslie eventually agrees to date Leonard who convinces Sheldon to leave the apartment, to give his roommate and Leslie some privacy. On the staircase, while playing Super Mario 64, Sheldon explains to Penny that he feels uncomfortable with Leonard dating his arch enemy, Leslie, who is a "sloppy, arrogant, sub-par scientist".

Sheldon returns to their apartment and formally approves the relationship between Leonard and Leslie, graciously overlooking that she actually believes loop quantum gravity instead of string theory. Leslie gets emotional and makes statements about Lorentz invariance and black hole entropy which Sheldon scoffs at. Leslie expects Leonard to back up her beliefs but finds that he shares Sheldon's instead. Leslie then asks how they should raise the children as if it were a decision to raise their children in one religion or another. After learning about this "deal breaker" which she believes is more serious than Leonard's food allergy and shortness, she breaks up with Leonard. After which Sheldon tells Leonard to look on the bright side Leonard then replies with "What's the bright side?" Sheldon states that it is only 9 more months to Comic-Con. (In this episode it is revealed that at Comic-Con Raj made out with an attractive man dressed as a Green Orion Slave Girl.)

The Bad Fish Paradigm

Penny and Leonard return from the restaurant while Howard and Rajesh spy on them, using a webcam on the corridor connected to a laptop. They try to convince Leonard that the date wasn't working well: they think that when Penny said "let us slow down a bit", it meant that the "fish is bad". But they are obviously envious.

On the other hand, after Penny and Leonard's date, Penny feels uncomfortable having not gone to college. She is afraid that Leonard would become bored with her. She lied to Leonard about completing her own college and makes Sheldon keep her secret. This request to deceive Leonard is very hard for Sheldon (and his facial expressions) and results in a drastic decision on Sheldon's part.

The Big Bang Theory; Season 1

The Big Bang Theory is an American comedy series created and executive produced by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. The pilot was directed by James Burrows.

The series is about two socially inept prodigies, Leonard (Johnny Galecki), and Sheldon (Jim Parsons), who are living across the hall from a beautiful girl with an average intellect, Penny (Kaley Cuoco). When Leonard falls for Penny, Sheldon tries to discourage his interest because he believes his friend is chasing a dream he'll never catch.

With the exception of the pilot, the episode titles of The Big Bang Theory always start with "The" and typically resemble the title of a scientific principle.

Season 1

Created by writer/producers Chuck Lorre (of Two and a Half Men) and Bill Prady (of Gilmore Girls) comes The Big Bang Theory, a sitcom that shows what happens when hyperintelligent roommates/physicists Sheldon and Leonard meet Penny, a beautiful woman moving in next door--and realize they know next to nothing about life outside of the lab. Rounding out the crew are the smarmy Wolowitz, who thinks he's as sexy as he is brainy, and Koothrappali, who suffers from an inability to speak in the presence of a woman.
The show distinguishes itself by being unafraid to toss scientific references and technobabble into an otherwise standard sitcom, even employing a physicist to keep things accurate. In doing so, it allows Sheldon and Leonard to do for science what Frasier's Crane brothers did for fine dining, art, and opera.

A woman with a rare disease, "Bellini's lymphocemia," is kidnapped and given a drug that makes her brain emit a microwave burst, killing her and the patrons of a diner she stumbles into. After talking to the doctor who was treating them, Olivia learns that the chief scientist of a competitor of Massive Dynamic is the one who gave her the drug. Peter makes a deal with Nina Sharp, who tells him where to find the second victim before she can be turned into a radioactive bomb.

Power Hungry

The team discovers a man with the uncontrolled ability to affect electrical energy, made the way he is by a scientist performing illegal experiments on humans. With the help of carrier pigeons modified to track the man's electromagnetic signature, the team manages to track him down and arrest the scientist. Meanwhile, Olivia begins seeing visions of John, which she learns are caused by memories transferred to her during their experience in the first episode. Through these memories, she discovers one of John's secret hideouts, where a large number of investigation files relating to the Pattern are found.

Fringe Season1 Episode 4

The Arrival

A mysterious cylinder emerges from beneath the Earth in New York City, so Broyles enlists the trio of Olivia, Dr. Bishop and Peter to investigate the significance of the object. However, others also seek it, including a bald man known as the Observer who only watches events as they unfold and another willing to kill to retrieve the cylinder. Dr. Bishop hides the cylinder against the wishes of the rest of the team, owing a debt to the Observer for saving his life and that of his son many years earlier. The object burrows back underground before either side can discover its purpose. At the end of the episode, Olivia, who is standing in the kitchen, sees John Scott standing in the kitchen entrance.

Olivia, along with Peter and Walter Bishop, reopens a cold case involving a serial killer who extracted the pituitary glands from his victims after investigating the strange death of a woman who had an even stranger child. The woman was pregnant for only hours, yet the baby she birthed was fully developed - then aged eighty years in the span of a few minutes. They discover that the killer is an artificially-aged human, who is using the enzymes extracted from the removed glands to halt his rapid aging. The team is able to track him and his creator down, causing the man to die from being deprived of the enzymes keeping him young.

Summary

FBI agent Olivia Dunham and Peter Bishop are faced with a rapidly spreading unexplained phenomenon of the threatening kind. In an attempt to stop the spread, they enlist the assistance of Bishop's estranged father, the institutionalized scientist Dr. Walter Bishop.

Dawson's Creek's Joshua Jackson plays the role of Peter Bishop, a smart guy with many gambling debts. Anna Torv (The Secret Life of Us) plays Olivia Dunham, a young, tough FBI agent who has to confront an unexplained phenomenon. Also cast in the series are The Black Donnelly's Kirk Acevedo and Boston Legal's Mark Valley. They play FBI agents. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King's John Noble and The Wire's Lance Reddick are also on the cast: Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop and Reddick as Phillip Broyles, a special agent for Homeland Security head of the Fringe division, that investigates terrorist and paranormal events. Alongside them are veteran actress Blair Brown and Take the Lead actress Jasika Nicole. Brown plays Nina Sharp, a 16-year veteran of Prometheus Corp., a cutting-edge research facility, while Nicole plays Astrid Farnsworth, a federal assistant.

This highly anticipated sci-fi drama was created by Transformers /Star Trek/ Mission: Impossible III's J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Fringe's pilot was directed by Emmy Award-winning Alex Graves ("The West Wing") and produced by Warner Bros. Television, Bad Robot Productions and Fringe Element Films.

Episode 1: Pilot

After an international flight lands in Boston’s Logan Airport, its crew and passengers died from a mysterious and gruesome plague, a team of investigators begins investigating the nature and source of the toxin causing the plague. When Special Agent Olivia Dunham’s partner, John Scott, is infected by the same plague, she recruits Dr. Walter Bishop, a mentally unstable researcher in fringe science, and his estranged son, Peter, in helping her to save John's life. They discover a cure to the man-made plague, but learn that the mass infection was but an experiment, and part of a larger mystery called "The Pattern". Her newly healed partner betrays her, and might be involved with the Pattern, as well as one of the largest companies in the world, Massive Dynamic, headed by Bishop’s former lab partner. At the end, John's body is delivered to Massive Dynamic to be revived for questioning.
