Walter's former bunkmate at the mental institute is linked to the abduction of a young musical prodigy by a serial kidnapper. Peter is concerned when Walter insists on going back to the mental institute to solve the case.

Nathan learns of his father's plans, while Flint and Knox launch attacks on Hiro, Ando, Peter, and Claire. Meanwhile, Matt tries to revive Angela, Sylar meets with Elle, and Mohinder begins testing of his newest superpower formula.

Hiro escapes Arthur but believes himself to be ten years old. Arthur sends Knox and Flint to capture Peter and Claire. Ando helps Hiro re-discover his powers. Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Jill (guest star Jordana Brewster) are enjoying the honeymoon stage of their rekindled relationship. The two lovebirds plan a weekend getaway but have to cancel at the last minute when Casey (Adam Baldwin) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) inform Chuck that he is needed for an immediate mission to find corrupt agents in the CIA. Jealousy erupts when Jill finally meets Sarah and learns that Chuck and his handler must pose as a couple. Chuck does his best to reassure Jill that his relationship with Sarah is purely business but only finds himself in more trouble when his mission does not go as planned. Meanwhile, corporate efficiency expert Emmett (guest star Tony Hale) is out to get Chuck and interrogates Morgan (Joshua Gomez) to get some dirt on his best friend. Richard returns to his birthplace in the village of Brennidon but is unnerved to find it under siege with D'Haran soldiers. Shock comes when a woman claims to be Richard's birth mother: Brigid and he has a brother, Mark. After witnessing a woman almost get killed for voicing her mind about Lord Rahl, Richard is determined to save his village. As every home is searched for the Seeker, Richard's brother locks him up and leads the guards to him. Having escaped, Richard leaves to get the aid from Zedd and Kahlan until being told that all mothers are being taken with the potential that one be the Seeker's and lure him out. Running back he confronts his brother and both devise a plan to save the village. Meanwhile, Zedd must convince a woman that the son she claims be his is not and finds assist in Kahlan to find the truth without her touch. In the process, Zedd reveals a dark secret he has kept hidden. When both find out where Richard is they rush off to Brennidon to where he's about to be executed with his own sword. Mark quickly kills the D'Haran as the town folk begin throwing food and objects at the D'Haran's. When Kahlan arrives both her and Richard fend off and kill the D'Haran's. Brigid claims not to be Richard's mother but that his real mother is out there somewhere and looking for him. As they leave, Zedd tells Kahlan that Richard must never know that he's Richard's grandfather.

Jason Sands, a wealthy banker and political contributor is found dead inside his residence vault. After being tortured, he had bled to death in his vault. Patrick and the team delve into Jason's private life to find the murderer.

A drowned girl's body is found on the Santa Marta beach, and many of her surfer friends are suspects. When interviews lead to nothing, Patrick uses his skills to determine and catch the killer.

The CBI is called in to investigate the murder of a young woman, found tied up and dumped in a Northern Napa County vineyard. Lisbon focuses on the theory that this was the result of a lovers' quarrel, but Jane believes this may be the work of a serial killer. He investigates his own theories and gets the team's assistance with a plan to catch the killer.

The Mentalist tells the tale of Patrick Jane, who is employed as an independent detective working with the California Bureau of Investigation to solve crimes. He was making a living as a psychic and would assist the police on cases -- only his life changed when he lost the two most important people in his life to one of those serial killers he was helping track. He uses his refined observation skills to help them solve cases. He works with Senior Agent Teresa Gibson, Agents Kimball Cho & Wayne Rigsby and the rookie Grace Van Pelt.

In order to help his best friend, Clark must ask for Jor-El's help, forced to take her to the Fortress of Solitude so that Jor-El can restore her memories. Meanwhile, Davis tries to get Chloe to understand that Jimmy is wrong for her.
