Fringe S02E11 preview

Season 2 Episode 11:
PSA: Fringe returns on Monday

Bookmark and Share

Fringe returns from its holiday hiatus with two brand-new episodes next week! The first airs on Monday, January 11 at 9 p.m. (after House), and the second airs during Fringe's regular time slot, on Thursday, January 14 at 9 p.m. (after Bones). Why the extra episode? Probably because 24 isn't slated to fill the Monday-at-nine time slot until January 18, and this way, FOX can fit in one more episode of Fringe before the show's winter finale on Thursday, February 4 (after that, it will return on April 1). But who cares? More Fringe is always a good thing.

The last episode to air, "Grey Matters," put our beloved Walter (John Noble) face-to-face with William Bell (Leonard Nimoy), who demanded that Walter reveal how he opened the portal to the alternate universe. The two men have unfinished business, but it looks like we might have to wait awhile to find out what happens between them. Monday's episode, "Unearthed," probably won't pick up that storyline, since it's actually an un-aired episode from Season 1. Instead, it centers on a girl who awakens, after being taken off life support, with knowledge of Russian and classified military information. And Thursday's episode, "Edina City Limits," revolves around human deformity in a small town in upstate New York. So even though we may not get any juicy details about Bell, Walter, or Massive Dynamic, we'll still be thoroughly entertained.

When do you think William Bell will make his return to the Fringe Division? And what will happen when he does?
